Beatriz González awarded International Public Art Prize

On November 16, 2024, Shanghai University announced the winners of the 2024 International Public Art Prize. Among the winners is Colombian artist Beatriz González, whose work was discussed in an article by Carolina Vanegas Carrasco in the inaugural edition of arte :lugar :cidade - Auras Anonimas.

Beatriz González was awarded the International Public Art Prize for Latin America. The other prize winners: The Eyes of Land and Sea, by Alison Page and Nik Lachajczak (Oceania), Blooming Time, Programme SPARK, by Li Hao (East Asia), kNow School, by Anga Art Collective (West/Central/South Asia), The Missing Bits, by Nest Collective (Africa) and Dakota Spirit Walk, by Marlena Myles (North America), while Talking Hands, by Fabrizio Urettini (Eurasia), was selected as the overall winner by the IAPA 2024 jurors.
