Various equipment currently used emit high-intensity magnetic field, such as transmission lines, even operating at steady state. The magnetic fields generated by the transmission lines are influenced by the line configuration and voltage. Some studies have linked exposure to magnetic fields with the development of some diseases and interference in electronic equipment, so the study of such fields is crucial. The objective of this paper is to present algorithm developed in Matlab® to calculate the magnetic field in transmission lines operating at steady state. For this, we discuss the magnetic field calculation methods commonly used to transmission lines. The algorithm is validated by means of comparison with other results of the literature and with results of measurement of two real lines of the Furnas system.Downloads
