Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the Brasilian base jumpers point of view about the meanings attributed to life, taking into account that experience is passad through association sport-risk-emotion. For this purpose a research line was set through whom theoretical conjectures about risk, sport, emotion and romanticism along with narrative reports of the actors on their own experiences with the risk, allowing us to describe the ideas that pierce the meanings attributed to life by these people, as well as to point out aspects of the culture that influence upon that option for a dangerous life style.
