Resumo

The journalistic narrative on sport, in its linguistic aspect, is often brought closer to mythical account. The question is then to identify whether journalistic narratives are organised according to the same narrative structure as that of mythical accounts. The article reveals the results of a qualitative analysis of the of three French daily newspapers about the nomination of the 2001 Olympic games. From a narratological point of view we propose making a comparison with the theoretical model of tales. We notice that it is structured, following the example of the tales, on an actantial basis in which Paris is the hero of an Olympic quest, and Beijing its opponent. This dialectics, which relies on subjectively built values, is the basis of plot setting of a tale. These points of converge encourages us to maintain that this events, is built according to same logic as the tales.
