Resumo

In the social sciences of sports, in response to the socio-cultural approach to Pociello and his team at the University of Paris-Sud Orsay, the publications produced at the laboratory of Grenoble around Chifflet develop a sociology of sporting organizations. However this work is based primarily on unrecognized sociohistorical acceptance of sport divide between supply and demand. From literature review and discussion around a theoretical model, this work details a recognized contribution of the Grenoble group to the historical sociology of sport. Indeed, the use of a division between supply and demand for sport, with the study of possible discrepancies between the two has a significant interest for understanding the evolution of sport practices in France over the period 1946-1996.
