Acerca de las alianzas futbolísticas y de cómo se consolidan

un caso paradigmático en Argentina

Abstract

This work analyzes the extraordinary fact of friendly relationships between two organized groups of fanatic football fans, which are identified with different football teams in Argentina. In the face of daily violent struggles between the adversary hinchas, this case represents the peculiarity of transforming the hostile relationships into friendships. At the same time, the work describes the different ways in which the alliance is strengthened, mainly through of exchange of gifts, commitment to physical and moral support and rituals of commensality. The data from the present analysis have come up in the context of an ethnographic research which was made with members of a football hinchada in Argentina during the period 2000-2001.
