AS NOVAS TECNOLOGIAS NO FUTEBOL: ALGUMAS REFLEXÕES SOBRE O FAIR PLAY NA CONTEMPORANEIDADE

Abstract

Scientific and technological advances, together with the speed with which these processes have been implemented, generate implications and transformations in the most diverse areas of contemporary society. The field of sports practices is no stranger to the impacts of these processes and transformations. This essay aims to reflect on the structuring of the concept of fair play during the 19th and 20th centuries and how it was incorporated and shaped in modern sport, more specifically in relation to football. Finally, we seek to discuss the possible implications and relationships between fair play and the insertion of technological tools to enforce the rules of this sport.
