Abstract

Abstract: This text aims to analyze the representations of the Brazilian Handball Team in the periodicals Folha de São Paulo, O Globo and O Estado de S. Paulo during its participation in the Olympic Games (2000-2016). The method of collecting and organizing the empirical material was based on content analysis. 86 articles were analyzed. It is reflected, among other observations, that the representations constructed about the selection were modified and given new meanings as the team developed.
