Abstract

The tale "The way to San Giovanni", by Italo Calvino, was published in the homonym work, and it is composed of five texts, presented as memory exercises. Despite the classification, the tale doesn't dissociate itself from other Calvinian works, which are considered as non-confessional and in which the spaciousness appears as a memorable strategy. The space, built in a perfect labyrinth way, is traveled across a narrative subject that moves between the impossible return and the past trail; the rebuilt of the way until San Giovanni and the spacial divergency with the father.

Sheila Dias Maciel, Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT)

Possui graduação em Letras Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Português e Literaturas pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1992), especialização em Teoria da Literatura pela UERJ (1993) mestrado em Letras Teoria da Literatura Sjrp pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1995) e doutorado em Letras Teoria da Literatura Sjrp pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2001). Atualmente é professora associado nível 1 da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso e já orientou dez dissertações de mestrado nos programas de Estudos Literários da UFMS e da UFMT. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Literatura Autobiográfica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: memória, diário e autobiografia.
