Abstract

Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a benign hyperplastic lesion caused by local
trauma or chronic trauma. It originates from the periodontal ligament or
mucoperiosteum. The objective of this work is to present a case of PGCG in the
mandible successfully treated through surgical excision, curettage and peripheral
ostectomy.
