Abstract

The decommissioning of Exploration and Production units in the Oil & Gas sector is already a reality in Brazil, since this demand is being executed. However, it is an incipient market that is being structured. As a result, gaps are noted during this process, such as the final destination of equipment from a decommissioned FPSO Unit, and the potential for reuse that these materials may have at the end of their life, bringing to light a market widely used in other industries, but little explored in the Brazilian Oil & Gas sector: the recycling market, reuse and remanufacture. In this context, the objective of this work is to estimate the potential for reuse of the materials to be decommissioned, separating them by equipment families. The proposed methodology is through the documentary research of the Program for the Decommissioning of Maritime Installations of Platform P-32. An analysis of the decommissioned equipment of this Exploration and Production unit was carried out, based on the inventory of materials. This is detailed according to the submarine system and topside system, through the division of nine families of equipment, presenting perspectives and discussions for the identification of the best alternatives for disposal and recycling of these materials. As a result, nine families were identified with potential for reuse in the topside system, with 1,174 tons of equipment, in addition to 2,124 tons of materials found in the submarine system, totaling approximately 3,300 tons of material that can be reused in the national and international market.
