Abstract

The article discusses violence in stadiums, the way in which it has been proliferated and evidenced by the use of alcohol and cocaine by fans. The methodology adopted was of an applied nature, in order to seek to produce knowledge aimed at solving specific problems, and referring to the scope of sports law in the field of football. The text addresses this overwhelming passion for soccer, a decisive current in the construction of a fanaticism sometimes disguised as aggression, under the contextualized approach of hooligans. In the meantime, the current and relevant consequences of this violence in stadiums were highlighted, through the creation of some “prisons” for fans through predestined spaces for each group present. Furthermore, the reality in England was particularly reflected in this issue, with an emphasis on the Premier League since its creation in 1992. It was sought to explain how the cocaine habit is the direct counterpart of alcohol, which is now prohibited on the premises of British stadiums, and the respective change triggered by these substances, bringing to the fore their aggressive effects. It was concluded that new measures are needed to regulate these behaviors off the pitch, as they are evident and summary in the pursuit of peace in soccer.
