Women in the Brazilian football universe: an overview from Theses and Dissertations in Social Sciences (2012-2022)

Abstract

Circumscribe, synthesize, map and represent are ideas that are linked to the action of delimiting, in a universe of possibilities, artifacts that make up a theme or specific subject. In the field of sports practices, and more specifically in the case of Brazilian football, several bibliographic reviews have been carried out over the last few years. The general purpose of this article is to systematize academic works such as Dissertations and Theses published in the large area of knowledge Human Sciences and, more specifically in the sub-areas of Social Sciences, Anthropology, Political Science and Sociology, which address the presence of women in the universe of Brazilian football. Whether from the perspective of those who get involved in the sport as athletes, fans, referees, managers, coaches, technicians or journalists; or from the perspective of women who write and produce scientific knowledge about football.
