Discursos autorizados e discursos rebeldes no futebol brasileiro
Abstract
Football (Soccer) is a social practice that generates the continuous production of interpretations and positioned evaluations, simultaneously on as well as off the playing field. In Brazil, the discourse of sports commentary is a founding aspect of this social phenomenon, at least since the 1920's. This text highlights some of the typical features of this kind of journalism as well as the growing academic production on this subject, which competes to be an "authorized spokesman" on Brazilian football (soccer). Dissenting discourse, especially that produced by players themselves, will also be brought into discussion.
