Abstract

The development, financing, control and inspection in the field of sport are themes of knowledge about public policies that are being developed as decision-making by the public authorities starts to have more frequent internal and external control. In Brazil, and considering the field of sport, there is an increase in the development of works and other publications, although restricted to certain locations, with emphasis on small towns. The objective of this work was to weave an analysis regarding the development of public policies around ​​sport in the Municipality of Osasco for the year 2019. Using spreadsheets developed by the Court of Auditors of the State of São Paulo as a starting point, the amount invested was verified. in each of the sport's manifestations, comparing the results to local and national legislation, as well as in relation to the literature on the subject. With the analysis, a respect for the current legislation in financial terms was observed, but recurrent practices of the Brazilian Public Administration were also observed, which is to develop policies especially in works and not in continuous projects per se. Finally, suggestions are made for reproducing the methodology for future studies and thus helping to develop the theme in the country.
