BETWEEN THE FIELD AND HOME
Abstract
This research deals with the training process of young athletes in the youth category, whose history in different national contexts, including the Amazon region, involves a series of arrangements in the athlete's social life that impact the sports field. In this sense, the study aims to understand how young athletes perceive the influence of the family context in their sports training process. For that, a case study was carried out with the athletes of the under-18 base category of a professional club in the North of Tocantins. The results show that these subjects need greater participation from friends and family in their training process. It is concluded that the encouragement and monitoring of parents in their children's sports practice may become a factor of encouragement and satisfaction for them, as long as there is no excessive demand.
