From prescribed to lived:
a case study on the sports project “Good at ball, good at school” in Tocantinópolis-TO
Abstract
The present research aims to understand the possibilities of action of the sports project "Good at ball, good at school” in the prosocial behavior of its participants. Methodologically, it is characterized as a case study within the project context, designed through a descriptive qualitative approach. The results indicate that the main ways in which this project influences the prosocial behavior of its participants are associated with the use of sports as an educational tool, promoting experiences rooted in attitudinal aspects such as respect for rules, collaboration, empathy, discipline, and inclusion. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a certain alignment between what is planned in the project's prescription and what is actually experienced by the social actors who deal with a set of values/virtues that align with the promotion of prosocial behavior, representing an important tool for envisioning a better future.
