As regras mudaram e o jogo segue: impactos da tecnologia na prática do jornalismo esportivo
Abstract
This article intends to discuss changes in journalism that impact sports coverage, from a theoretical and conceptual perspective. It starts from a delimitation of the field of sports journalism, involving disputes around its (in)definitions as a category: sometimes turning to a specific editorial, at others to a certain segmented editorial profile; as well as in relation to coverage, which most of the time prioritizes certain sports, such as football. Faced with technological changes, precarious working identity conditions and professional re-significations, it’s understood that the practice of sports journalism in digital environments is directly affected, impacting coverage and professional practices, for which is interesting to consider alternatives such as narrative journalism: after all, it's as if the rules change while the match is running out.
