Abstract

Starting from understandings about the diversity of manifestations that permeate the universe of soccer fans, with this article we intend to discuss the characteristics of the cheering of an iniciative called Movimento 105 Minutos. Therefore, we seek to understand its history, the references used in its construction and the elements that unite different subjects around a certain way of living club passion. During eight months of coexistence with the group, we realized that this institution has characteristic ways of manifesting cheering, since it is inspired by collectives called barras or hinchadas, present in a more representative way in other Latin American countries. Combining these influences with characteristics of brasilian organized fans, the Movimento 105 is built around the ideals of love and unconditional support for Atlético, which are reflected in the commitment of its members to the group and in the aesthetics of cheering manifested in the stands.
