Jordan Peele's Fear Landscape
The terrifying spectacle in the interspace atmosphere at 'Nope'

The work aims to interpret Jordan Peele’s film production, as consolidated in ‘Nope.’ The constructed analysis consists of the articulation between concepts that explicitly reveal the world crafted by the filmmaker and the immediately associated sensation of terror. The quest for a dialogue between the landscape of fear and circumstantial, contextual aspects, circumvented by the work, gradually gives rise to the creation of a specific atmosphere. This atmosphere is grounded in the entirety of Peele’s cinematographic proposal, particularly the modeled landscape construct. The fear within the landscape, involving characters and spectators in a unique atmosphere, mediated by affective, anxious, and frightening connections with places and events highlighted by the filmmaker throughout the work, serves as the investigative keys used to unveil the construction of Jordan’s psychological horror cinema.
