contributions from the Jan Patočka’s thought

The figure of struggle is one of the key figures in the understanding of interpersonal relationships in contemporary philosophy. The following work aims to expose the way in which Jan Patočka resumes this figure within his philosophy and thinks about the possibility of overcoming it. Arising from alienation in the domain of work skills, the struggle can only be overcome by overcoming life alienated in role and function. In this sense, it is essential to delve into the idea of sacrifice as a moment in which life is discovered in its truth.
