Abstract

The article is a critical review of the book “Tiempo de fronteras: a geopolitical view of the frontera sur de México”, written by Daniel Villafuerte Solís, published by the Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas. The southern border of Mexico has been the subject of different types of studies due to the accelerated increase in migratory flows and containment policies internalized by Mexico in relation to its Central American neighbors. The book focuses on these changes from an interesting geopolitical perspective, which also includes the historical construction of the border space and its development pathways.
