Resumo

O presente texto é resultado do desejo de divulgarmos um debate tecido em nossa recente dissertação de Mestrado em História. Trata-se da tentativa que fizemos de conceituar o fenômeno da magia no Antigo Egito, um tema que, apesar de não ser novo, ainda necessita ser muito estudado e investigado por estudiosos. Para tanto, nossa definição resultou em algo feito apenas ao final de nosso texto, sendo precedida por debates sobre como operava a magia egípcia, a partir de que princípios, quem a realizava e como ela se relacionava com a religião.
