Introduction: Dental caries is a public health problem that still affects a large part of the population today. Statistics reveal that approximately 48% of Brazilian children at five years old have untreated caries. This structural loss not only affects aesthetics but also compromises mastication, phonetics, physiology, and can even cause social impairment and acceptance issues. Objective: To describe current rehabilitation techniques for primary anterior teeth with extensive coronal carious lesions. Methodology: We conducted a search of all available studies indexed in BIREME, Google Scholar, and PubMed between 2011 and 2023 regarding aesthetic rehabilitations of primary anterior teeth. The following search terms were used: deciduous aesthetic rehabilitation; deciduous tooth prosthesis; treatment of anterior caries in primary teeth; reabilitação estética decídua; prótese em dente decíduo; tratamento de cárie anterior em decíduo. Conclusion: There is a clear need for more studies in the field of aesthetic rehabilitations in pediatric dentistry, with clinical inferences grounded in evidence-based practice.
