The building of royal monuments and the symbolization of space in Ancient Egypt (New Kingdom, 16th-11th centuries a.C.)

This text purports to show by which means the ancient Egyptians were able to build a kind of space mythically symbolized. We try to do that by presenting examples of different sorts, pertaining to the New Kingdom, a relatively well documented period. The reason that led us to choose this subject was to refute the contention that the ancient Egyptians, while disposing of a strong temporal sense, lacked a spatial sense equally developed.
