Abstract

 The Article intends to be a contribution to the comparative study of religions by proposing a revision of an idea expressed inside the work Myths and Symbols in Indian Art and Civilization, by the expert on religions and philosophies of India, Heinrich Zimmer, i. e., the strict opposition between the cosmos-creator divinity and the chaosestablisher monster, from the reading of the Book of Isaiah as a case of Jewish theological exception towards some affirmations in the German theorist’s work aforesaid, as well as betake the book The Myth of the Eternal Return, by Mircea Eliade, so as to better comprehend the sui generis character of the Jewish time conception necessary to the same revision.
