This paper focus on the role of the Queen performed at the beginning of the Eighteenth Dynasty (New Kingdom) link to the royal succession. In particular, I will center my attention on Ahmose-Nefertari and Hatshepsut interventions on the royal court through the notion of Junguian archetype of women and the “Great Mother”.
