UM ESTUDO DE CASO COMPARATIVO

This article aims to explain the different levels of violence in the transition processes that occurred during the so-called Arab Spring, based on a comparative case study between Libya, Tunisia and Egypt. The data used are from the Polity IV indices. It appears that the fall of autocracy in Libya was more violent in relation to its neighbors because of the inflexibility of this government to promote reforms, unlike Tunisia and Egypt, where such reforms were promoted to a greater or less extent.
