AN ANALYSIS OF THE CHANGES IN THE FOREIGN POLICY

When analyzing a country’s foreign policy it is necessary not only to observe its behaviour in relation to other countries, but also its internal situation. The historical context in which the country is inserted also reflects in its internal and external actions, making it easier to comparatively analyze two moments of foreign policy. The transition of the Russian Empire to the establishment of the Soviet Union was turbulent, and the historical context involving the First Great War was essential to make these changes possible. In this expository article will be made a brief analysis of the foreign policy’s conjuncture of the russian/ soviet territory, since 1870 to the Russian Empire, getting to the establishment of the Soviet Union consequent of the Russian Revolution, outlining the main points of this transition.
