The research was developed with the objective of contributing to the understanding of the barriers of implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and LC (Lean Construction) with a focus on the Brazilian civil construction industry. For this purpose, a survey was carried out with 215 Brazilian civil construction executives, 72 respondents declared having some initiative regarding BIM or LC strategies. Thus, this study indicates the main barriers of Lean and BIM in Brazil, indicating the main bottlenecks in the perception of executives. Additionally, the study contributes to the existing literature, proposing a framework of challenges for further scientific and practical deepening.
