This study investigated the evaluative practices used by professors and their impacts on the training of Accounting students at a public HEI in southern Brazil during the pandemic, from the perspective of Vygotsky's Historical-Cultural Theory. The research involved questionnaires for students and teachers, with quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results. The most common practices in distance learning were formative assessment and assessed activities. The pedagogical dimension had a positive impact on students' training, while the emotional dimension was influenced by the teacher's empathy, and the ethical dimension identified competence and commitment to learning.
