Editorial flows between the magazines Mensagem (Luanda, 1951-1952) and Sul (Florianópolis, 1948-1957)

Taking as its object the contribution of poets from the magazine Mensagem (Luanda, 1951-1952) in the pages of the magazine Sul (Florianópolis, 1948-1957), as well as the missives they sent to Salim Miguel, editor of the Brazilian magazine, the article analyzes the flow of originals and printed material between the groups. It highlights the publication of poets from Angola in Sul, as well as the circulation of Marxist works in the middle of the century, connecting the magazines. The discussion points to the political trait of the aesthetics of the young people in Mensagem, understanding the Florianópolis imprint as a privileged space for publishing texts censored by Portuguese colonialism in Africa, but also as a means of access to publications banned on the continent.
