Recent history in Mexico cannot be understood without the tension between a redefinition and dispute over public space. In a context of necropatriarchal violence, where feminized bodies are vulnerable, public space has become an ambivalent zone, between the danger it represents and the need for a reappropriation that directly confronts the official, historical, political and social discourse. In this paper we seek to expose artistic expressions and actions in the public space in Mexico through an approach capable of making visible productions and updates of intergenerational dialogues. From a review of specific concepts and concrete strategies, we intend to exhibit ways of approaching and reading political-aesthetic processes characterized by their critical and dynamic condition. We seek to outline and define a methodology of study through the critical and analytical review of intervention strategies in public space through the work of artists such as Monica Mayer and Alma Camelia, or collectives such as Anti-Monumenta, Brillantinas con Glitter and projects such as El mural que debió ser (The Mural that Should Have Been).
