Review of the catalog of Willys de Castro: Side by Side exhibition, held by the Institute of Contemporary Art (IAC) in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts of São Paulo (MUBA) in 2016. The exhibition brought together works from Willys de Castro's Objetos Ativos series (1959-1962). The review briefly introduces the artist's career and the concept of Objetos Ativos. It also shows the general structure of the catalog, discussing aspects of the layout and the content displayed mainly based on the analyses made by curator Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro, members of the IAC and MUBA, as well as guest artist Steve Roden, who are part of the publication.
