Imaginário e cultura da intolerância em plataformas algorítmicas

A cultura da intolerância, impulsionada pelo contexto político do hiperneoliberalismo, é relacionada neste artigo de articulação teórica, baseado em pesquisa bibliográfica, com o imaginário presente nas plataformas algorítmicas, nas quais se exerce hoje uma modalidade fundamental de governança. Embora manifestações de intolerância já estivessem presentes em momentos anteriores da Internet, o artigo pretende demonstrar como as plataformas, devido às peculiaridades de sua tecnologia e seu modelo de negócios, são ambientes ainda mais favoráveis a tais manifestações. Nesse sentido, certos aspectos de seu funcionamento, classificados como arena de atenção, onimediação desigual, exposição calibrada e veridição flexível, são vinculados a disposições que Lacan associa ao imaginário e à agressividade – respectivamente, narcisismo, identificação narcísica com líderes, segregação e paranoia.
