Abstract

The objective of this essay is to contribute to the epistemological debate of theoretical influences that could promote a critical curriculum formulation in the Physical Education (PE) discipline inserted in Youth and Adult Education (YAE). The present essay was based on our presentation at the XV Fluminense Meeting of Scholastic Physical Education, organized by the Institute of Physical Education of Fluminense Federal University in 2020. The methodology of this work considered the literary analysis of the works of Azoilda Trindade, Bell hooks and Lélia Gonzáles, and their possible contributions to the construction of the PE curriculum at YAE.
