A partir de la utilización de la técnica de k-means clustering el trabajo evalúa el proceso de metropolización del comportamiento electoral en el área metropolitana de Cali durante las elecciones de Senado de 2022.
A partir de la utilización de la técnica de k-means clustering el trabajo evalúa el proceso de metropolización del comportamiento electoral en el área metropolitana de Cali durante las elecciones de Senado de 2022.
Usando como unidad de análisis setecientos puestos de votación ubicados en veintiún municipios –y dos departamentos- de éste área, se analiza cómo el comportamiento predominante en el nodo central de la red (Cali) se derrama en los cascos urbanos de los municipios circundantes. La difusión de este tipo de conducta pierde intensidad a medida que aumenta la distancia y disminuye la accesibilidad a dicho nodo; apreciándose, además, dinámicas completamente distintas en las zonas rurales y periurbanas, incluso, de los municipios vecinos.
De este modo puede apreciarse la existencia de un proceso de metropolización que va más allá de las dinámicas, estudiadas por otro trabajos, de producción y consumo de bienes y servicios, además de asentamiento, movilidad y gobernanza.
