Intrinsecamente ligada à geograficidade na história, a cidadania vem sendo matéria de reflexão desde o pensamento clássico com Aristóteles, ganhando centralidade no atual contexto de um espaço global. The citizenship issue is one of the most relevant and necessary to think and act in the urban space. Intrinsicaly linked with the geographicity in history, the citizenship has been subject of reflexion since the classical thought with Aristotle, receiveing a central place in the actual period of globalization.
