A geografia como ciência corológica da superfície terrestre [Die Geographie als chorologische Wissenschaft der Erdoberfläche]

O presente texto faz parte de um projeto de tradução da obra de Hettner - Die Geographie, ihre Geschichte, ihr Wesen und ihre Methoden ("A Geografia, sua história, sua essência e seus métodos". Breslau: Ferdinand Hirt, 1927) e está divida em 9 "livros" (que são na realidade capítulos). O segundo contém ainda, além do terceiro subcapítulo aqui traduzido, os subcapítulos "1) O sistema das ciências", "2) É possível uma Ciência Geral da Terra?", "4) As áreas de conhecimento da Geografia e sua relação com as ciências naturais", "5) Geografia estética e geografia como arte" e "6) Geografia prática". A tradução é de Leonardo Arantes, doutorando do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia da Universidade Federal Fluminense e professor temporário da Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF/Angra dos Reis, com o apoio do Prof. Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Sahr, doutor em Geografia pela Universidade de Tübingen e professor adjunto da Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR. Todas as observações feitas pelos tradutores virão seguidas de (N.T.), as demais notas são do próprio autor.Downloads
