THE SPACIALITIES INSTITUTED BY YOUNG BLACK WOMEN IN AND THROUGH HIP HOP CULTURE IN LONDRINA (PR)

This article aims to understand the spatialities instituted by young black women in their affirmation and negotiation identity process into and through Hip Hop culture in Londrina (PR). I intend to interpret the double movement carried out by young black women, considering that they negotiate their presence in Hip Hop spaces, in a context of male hegemony, and also have the possibility of instituting other spatialities of urban space through culture, questioning the subalternization of bodies black females. The main methodologies adopted are fieldwork, participant observation and semi-structured interviews with five young black hip hoppers. I conclude that the encounter with the Hip Hop culture expands the experiences of space of young black women, in addition, they tension the male hegemony of culture, make the spaces of Hip Hop and the city more democratic and transform the culture itself, building a Hip Hop Feminist in Londrina.
