CRITICAL ZONES AND POLITICAL ECOLOGY: A CONTROVERSY AT THE PARAÍBA DO SUL RIVER (RJ)

The main objective of this piece is to present the Critical Zones. We intend to explore the research in political ecology, namely in river basins. To pursue the objective of this attempt, we explored the controversy between the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (ALERJ) and the “Refúgio da Vida Silvestre do Médio Paraíba do Sul”. The notion of “heterogenous agency” is the main tool to address the bond between the actors involved in the controversy.
