VOTO E GÊNERO NA ARGENTINA: UMA ANÁLISE A PARTIR DA GEOGRAFIA ELEITORAL

Entre 1999 e 2007, a análise da diferença de gênero no voto na Argentina revela dinâmicas complexas e regionalizadas. Embora, em nível nacional, as diferenças de voto entre mulheres e homens não sejam quantitativamente significativas, emergem padrões específicos vinculados a contextos geográficos particulares. As mulheres demonstram uma inclinação por forças políticas moderadas com valores republicanos, como as representadas pela Aliança de De la Rúa em 1999 e pelas candidaturas de Elisa Carrió em 2003 e 2007, com um viés feminino notável em regiões como a área pampeana e a Região Metropolitana de Buenos Aires. Esses achados evidenciam a inexistência de um padrão uniforme na diferença de gênero no voto e confirmam a presença de heterogeneidade espacial em algumas candidaturas. Isso sugere que a diferença de gênero no voto responde a efeitos contextuais de caráter geográfico, em parte vinculados ao processo de territorialização política. A incorporação de ferramentas de análise espacial local permite captar essas heterogeneidades e destaca a importância de considerar os contextos subnacionais nos estudos sobre comportamento eleitoral.
