Abstract

This article focuses on the concept and evaluation of the literary artifact from the standpoint of communicative circuits. A tentative description of literary circuits in the Brazilian contemporary cultural scene – from the nineties to the present days – is then presented. Finally, some hypotheses are advanced, concerning the new ways the real and the fictional relate in contemporary culture and literature and how these emerging trends affect traditional notions in the field of literary theory, such as the notions of author and narrator.
