Comparative study related to Roland Barthes and Wolfgang Iser's reflections on the interaction between the reader and the literary text. Conceptual frames which make it possible to characterize interpretation and significance notions.

Maria Antonieta Jordão de Oliveira Borba, UERJ

Professora Adjunta da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), Doutora em Ciência da Literatura pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) com dois livros publicados: Teoria do efeito estético, Niterói, EduFF, 2003; Tópicos de Teoria para a investigação do discurso literário, Rio de Janeiro, 7 Letras, 2004. Além dessas obras, a autora vem publicando artigos sobre a "Teoria do efeito estético" de Wolfgang Iser, bem como sobre as noções de interpretação que percorreram o século XX e as que emergem na contemporaneidade. Atualmente é Coordenadora da Área de Doutorado em Literatura Comparada da UERJ.
