Intellectuals in the universe of Liberal Arts

The proposed reflections are articulated on the dissemination of new historiographical experiments dressed, in the decade of 90, by intellectuals that circulate in the universe of literary scholarship. This forms of ego-writings or ego-histories that legitimate theirselves by the accent on self-reflexive processes, not only question the impartiality and their invisibility self-imposed by tacit professional commitments subjacent to the construction of knowledge, but also permit new views on the relations established by literary theorists among particular experiences, performances in scientific communities in the institutional domain of academia and ethic and political positions in the extramuros world. These questions are explored - on the horizon of the intellectual's role - by analyzing two experiments in autobiographical historiography published between 1993 and 2003.
