Abstract

This text reconstructs, through memory,  a course of studies that, although being the result of one’s personal choices, reveals not only interpenetrating fields of knowledge, but also a subject that is the narrator and constitutes, itself, the process of narrating. The narrative text appears  here as the product of an interpretative effort that, encompassing also the areas of Linguistics and Literature, requires the interaction of its researchers, institutions, indigeneous universes, uniting near and distant worlds.

Marília Facó Soares, Universidade Federal doRio de Janeiro (UFRJ) / Museu Nacional

Marília Facó-Soares é Professora Titular de Linguística do Museu Nacional/UFRJ e Pesquisadora nível I-C do CNPq. Doutora na área de Linguística (UNICAMP, 1992). É coordenadora do Grupo de Pesquisa "Línguas Indígenas: Variação, Cognição e Estudos de Fonologia, Gramática e História - Fase II" (CNPq) e do Mestrado Profissional em Linguística e Línguas Indígenas (Museu Nacional/UFRJ), recomendado pela CAPES. Possui experiência como docente em Programa de Pós-Graduação, com especial atenção a interfaces em Linguística, Línguas Indígenas, Antropologia e Arqueologia. Principais áreas de atuação: teoria e análise linguística, línguas indígenas, linguística histórica e linguística aplicada.
