Résumé

O sarcófago discutido neste artigo é uma das peças mais conhecidas da coleção do Museu Etnográfco de Buenos Aires. O nome do seu dono é o nb.t pr Amenirdis. Embora não seja excepcional em sua decoração ou fatura, apresenta algumas questões interessantes relacionadas ao contexto social e material, bem como as apropriações de diversos motivos reais de transfguração, textual e iconográfca, pelos indivíduos. Além disso, o sarcófago como expressão material da mobilidade socioeconômica de certos estratos da sociedade é analisado. Para isso, a introdução das categorias de Mirada e Agência como meios e marcadores de status e poder será aplicada ao estudo do objeto.
