Editorial
Expresses the policy and philosophy of the OBJN and points to emerging areas that deserve reflection by the scientific community. Editorials may be requested from researchers at the invitation of the Chief/Deputy Editor and should address current issues.
Original Articles
These are quantitative (clinical or non-clinical), qualitative or mixed studies. All study types will also have space for publication in OBJN. In the case of experimental quantitative studies, priority will be given to randomized clinical trials, but quasi-experimental designs may also be published. Observational studies may be case-control, longitudinal or cross-sectional. Accuracy studies, methodological studies, case studies, case series and qualitative studies are also accepted. All original research manuscripts must include an introduction with a clear and concise description of the gap and objectives, involving relevance, justification, current literature, theoretical framework or philosophical orientation, typology (design, method or study design), participants, data collection and analysis processes and procedures, ethical protections, legitimacy and credibility issues and approaches, findings and implications of these findings.
Review Articles
Review studies with high methodological rigor will be accepted in the modalities of systematic reviews and scoping reviews. These must be guided by PRISMA (Systematic Literature Reviews and Meta-Analyses) or PRISMA ScR (Scoping Review) and have their protocols registered in PROSPERO, OSF or equivalent, available on open access websites. The OBJN does not accept integrative or narrative reviews.
Implementation, Innovation, Prospecting and/or Technological Development
These are long articles that present the description of implementation studies, research applied to professional practice and/or development of technological innovation. These must follow the SQUIRE guide and must contain: background (state of the art or technique), problem (current diagnosis), proposed solution to the problem, technology differential, benefits, technology results and market potential.
Protocols for systematic review and scope studies
Describe the planning of systematic or scoping review studies. Studies in this category must follow high methodological rigor, be registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews – PROSPERO for systematic reviews and for scoping reviews, authors are encouraged to register their protocol in the Open Science Framework – OSF (https://osf.io/). The registration number reported in the manuscript. For construction, systematic review protocols must follow the recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols – PRISMA P and for Scoping Reviews, PRISMA-ScR. Systematic and scoping review study protocols are short articles and therefore will be published in a supplementary issue.
Randomized Clinical Trial Protocols
Describe the design of randomized clinical trials (RCTs). Protocols must have high methodological rigor and be registered in ReBEC or another Clinical Trials repository (see Guidelines for presenting the text). The registration number must be reported in the method. For construction, RCT protocols must follow the SPIRIT recommendations. RCT protocols are short articles and will therefore be published in a supplementary issue.

It should explore and deeply analyze relevant subjects, based on concepts and/or theories, offering personal and critical insights. It should contain: abstract, introduction, development, conclusion and references.
Experience Reports, Updates and/or Technological Innovation
