FOREIGN POLICY AND CENTRAL ASPIRATIONS IN THE SEMIPERIPHERY

Abstract

The Brazilian foreign policy has shown, especially in the last decade, that the country is seeking a new place in the architecture of contemporary international order, which is gaining increasingly multipolar contours. The aspiration for greater inclusion in global governance is one of the typical characteristics of countries belonging to the so-called semi-periphery, category of which Brazil is a member.
