Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyze the securitization of the Arctic in the formulation made by the Copenhagen School in International Security in the post-Cold War era. The geopolitics of the region was considered in the analysis, with its natural resources and the possibility of navigation, especially with the largest access franchisee by global warming and consequent decrease in ice coverage in the Arctic.
